There’s a reason he’s a best-seller; his writing is immensely accessible and like a caring father he listens to you and leads you on a path beyond yourself.
He offers no easy solutions or quick-fixes, but leads us to the fountain of all confidence, God Himself come to us in Christ. We can venture into the great mystery of the future confident God is with us, for in Christ we get to be with Him.
My only qualm is that he tends to deal with the fruit of our fears (anxiety, stress) and not the root of them (pride, greed, envy).
